At MBE we offer two forms of treatment for facial thread/spider vein and rosacea. We are proud to have both, the Lynton Lumina, medical grade IPL and the ‘V Beauty ‘TM which is the sister product of the highly acclaimed veinwave.
Before and after treatment with V beauty.
They are Small, unsightly superficial veins that can be red, purple or blue. The medical term for them is telangiectasia. The veins are not actually broken. They occur when very small blood vessels or capillaries dilate and become large enough to be visible through the transparency of the skin. Over time they tend to become even larger and difficult to cover up. They tend to occur around the nose but can occur on the cheeks, sides of face, chin, neck and chest. Their appearance may look like spider legs, red spots, blotches or red lines.

There are many causes of facial thread veins and sometimes they are sue to a combination of factors. The causes will be discussed during the initial free consultation and appropriate advice offered. The following factors may lead to the formation of facial veins.
Sun exposure, extremes of weather, cold, heat, wind. Pregnancy and childbirth, hormones, hereditary factors. Trauma to area, exfoliation of the skin, squeezing blackheads and spots. Over use of steroid creams, certain auto immune diseases, excess alcohol, smoking, respiratory diseases, liver disease, Rosacea.
At MBE we have the choice of a medical grade IPL machine or the V beauty. Sometimes a combination of treatments may be required to achieve best results.
V Beauty TM
The V beauty TM ensures treatment of very fine veins which can be too tiny for an IPL or laser to treat effectively. It utilizes the principle of thermo coagulation by using microwaves to produce heat which coagulates the blood in the tiny veins and causes the walls to collapse and disappear.
The V beauty offers highly effective removal of facial thread veins enhanced by the use of a specialized polarized head set. The polarized light eliminates glare on the skin for a clearer view of the area to be treated. The fine veins, although visible through a magnifying loop become instantly more defined, which allows a effective, quick and accurate treatment.
Lynton Lumina IPL
The Lynton Lumina IPL machine is ‘intense pulsed light therapy’. It is a medical grade machine often used in hospitals. It emits light which is readily absorbed by the blood vessels. It heats them for micro seconds to a point where they are destroyed. The vessels quickly clear as they are reabsorbed, leaving little or no trace.
The IPL can effectively reduce redness associated with rosacea, widespread red veins and even port wine stains. As melanin also absorbs light well it is important not to have an active tan or use fake tan prior to treatment with IPL. The IPL is often used to rejuvenate the skin ‘Photorejuvenation’. This process helps to eliminate both red veins, age spots and promote collagen production at the same time.
